How to create German number bingo sheets?

Turn practicing German numbers into a fun game with these bingo sheets. German Word Number Bingo helps to promote listening and recognition skills as well as providing an opportunity to learn and practice German numbers.

You can create your bingo sheets from a range of German numbers. Each number can be up to 8 figures and then entered followed by a space or a comma. This means you can start simple with numbers between 1 and 100, however to make things more challenging, you can advance to numbers up to 10,000 or even 1 million!

German word numbers over twenty are written differently and may be initially quite hard to understand. Rather than writing twenty one, the German equivalent is einundzwanzig, which translates directly as "one and twenty". This pattern continues until ninety nine (neunundneunzig). After one hundred, the pattern continues but with "hundert" so one hundred and twenty three for example becomes "hundertdreiundzwanzig", then "zweihundertdreiundzwanzig" (223), "Zweitausenddreihundertdreiundzwanzig" (2,323) and so. It is also important to note that in German numbers are compound words so each number consists of one very large word.

First, enter your numbers. Each number can be up to 8 figures and should be entered followed by a space or comma. You can select from three grid sizes, so you can choose whether it's 9 (3x3), 16 (4x4) or 25 (5x5) numbers in the bingo sheet, depending on the learner level and the amount of time you want to spend playing bingo! Your inputted numbers will then appear as German word numbers in the bingo sheets. If you select the option to “randomize number location on different sheets,” the same numbers will appear on every sheet but in different locations.

If you would like to randomize the individual squares in which the numbers show up, please select “randomize number location on different sheets.” The same German word numbers will appear on each sheet, with or without the individual location randomization.

You can choose how many sheets to create without answers and how many with answers. The sheets with answers will provide the digit selected as well as the English word number in parenthesis.

Bingo can be played with friends or family, in class or as a group activity so why not give it a go today and see how much fun you can have!
